Carine Montbertrand

Carine Montbertrand is a classically trained professional actor, audiobook narrator, and teacher.  She has appeared off-Broadway at Soho Rep, Classical Theatre of Harlem, and The Acting Company (two seasons). Regional credits: Independent Shakespeare Company (LA), Baltimore Center Stage, Hartford Stage, Westport Country Playhouse, Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Alley Theatre (FOOL, world premiere by Theresa Rebeck), both Shakespeare Festival and Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park (Acclaim Award for Emilia in OTHELLO), Riverside Theatre, Pioneer Theatre, Utah Shakespeare, and many more. She has taught neutral and Commedia mask at Amherst College, University of Delaware and numerous programs throughout the US. She’s also been on faculty at AMDA since 2002 in Voice Production and Speech, and more recently, the Acting department. As an award-winning narrator, she is the voice of several series and has recorded over 80 audiobooks – Recorded Books, Penguin Random House Audio, Audible, and Live Oak Media. Her original bouffon inspired solo show, SEVEN DEVILS AND A FRENCH NUN, was developed with a Grant from Amherst College. TV credits: THE MARVELOUS MRS.
