Lee Strasberg is the best school for method acting so I intend to fully immerse myself in study and in New York culture. This opportunity lends itself to so many possibilities on Broadway and in cabaret.

FROM Mulgoa to New York, The Voice’s Brittanie Shipway is off to the Big Apple to take a crack at Broadway.
Shipway will make the big move in June following a recommendation from pop star Kylie Minogue.
“In the battle rounds I sang Les Miserables tear-jerker, On My Own, and Kylie said to me ‘you could walk onto Broadway tomorrow’. Those words stayed with me,” the 21-year-old said.
“I’ve always wanted to go to New York and I knew I wanted to do something that would top The Voice experience so I looked into the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and applied.
“There was a rumour going around that Dustin Hoffman applied several times before he got in, so I never thought that I would be accepted.”
Shipway will study method acting at the Institute for six months.
