Interactive Theater Event

September 11 @ 9:00 pm 10:00 pm

This night will take all five of your senses on a journey with traditional healing practices that Jordan Thomas Mitchell has learned and cultivated on his trips throughout Asia. JTM will be joined by friends, artists and musicians throughout the night. Don’t miss this evening of music, film and aromatics!

From the Artist: Tradition and Healing are two subjects on my mind. After many conversations and some time to think, I articulate Tradition as that which upkeeps the spirit of something. The tradition of gift-giving upkeeps the spirit of relationship; the tradition of shaking hands, the spirit of trust. Healing is more difficult and I think the modern notion is different than a traditional one. Today, we often medicate and don’t heal. But Traditional Healing is a journey back to the elements, where we emerge newly formed. To honor this, I’ve created a performance laced with the elements: wind, earth, water, fire and metal. Please come and join me in celebration.
