SUMMARY:Live Table Reads - From The LSTFI Advanced Screenwriting Lab
DESCRIPTION:Our LSTFI Advanced Screenwriting students have completed 4 outstanding short film scripts! \n\n\n\nNow\, we need an audience to attend our live table reads to help with this crucial next stage of the pre-production process. Actors will read each screenplay on stage\, in the Marilyn Monroe theater—then\, in the following days\, our LSTFI development team will decide which film(s) are greenlit for production. \n\n\n\nWe need an audience who will react\, laugh out loud\, and not be afraid to let our development team know (through a round of applause) what is working on the page and which moments are resonating with them.   \n\n\n\n\nFeatured Screenplays: \n\n\n\n\nHAWAII \n\n\n\nWritten and Directed by Edouard Negiar \n\n\n\nCAN YOU SEE ME NOW \n\n\n\nWritten and Directed by Kaushik Vaithyanathan \n\n\n\nAD-LIBBING  \n\n\n\nWritten and Directed by Christian Kamaal Perry \n\n\n\nBEST CASE SCENARIO  \n\n\n\nWritten by Edouard Negiar and Directed by Hyejin Grace Park \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nNo RSVP needed. Free entry for all. Show up and enjoy Strasberg Storytime!

SUMMARY:New Student Review - Wi'25
DESCRIPTION:All new students must submit a scene or monologue self tape midway through their first 12-Week term. The new students then gather to review their self tapes with David Strasberg to receive notes on their performance\, as well as guidance for their continued training. The Institute switched to self-tapes in 2022\, so as to better reflect the industry standard for auditions. Any student who fails to complete the New Student Review may be ineligible to continue their studies in the future.
