All new students submit a scene or monologue self tape midway through their first 12-Week term. SUMMARY:Scene Night: Two-Year Conservatory Culmination
DESCRIPTION:The Institute holds a Scene Night at the end of each term that features five available scene slots.  \n\n\n\nStudents in their final term of the Two-Year Conservatory are guaranteed a spot and must present a staged and costumed scene (4-7 minutes) which will be evaluated. Remaining scene slots are open to all students to submit for and will be selected via a lottery-system. Students\, see the FAQ for more details. \n\n\n\nWinter 2025 Two-Year Conservatory Culminating students include: Christian Giaconia\, Matthew Miller and Francesco Pirotti \n\n\n\nOpen to invited guests including Artistic Director\, David Strasberg\, in the Sontag Stage.

DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to announce Michael Kostroff will be hosting a Guest Workshop “Psychology of the Audition” at LSTFI Los Angeles in place of our Method Lab for the month of March. \n\n\n\nActor and audition coach\, Michael Kostroff\, is best known for his work on the legendary HBO series The Wire — with many\, many more incredible acting\, writing\, and coaching credits. \n\n\n\nMichael is an audition coach and the creator of the popular Audition Psych 101 workshop\, which he’s presented all over the country for more than two decades. Michael’s workshop helps actors breakdown the psychology behind one of the most significant and mystifying parts of their careers…the audition.
