SATURDAY PROGRAM (FALL, WINTER, SPRING)

SPRING 2023: Saturday, April 15 – Saturday, June 24, 2023
(NO CLASS MAY 27th)

Method Acting is designed to train the actor in Lee Strasberg’s systematic acting technique known throughout the world as The Method. This technique develops the actor’s ability to respond with real behavior to imaginary stimuli. Each three-hour acting class consists of two parts: work on the self and work on the character. Students in the Full Day Saturday program will also choose between several electives to supplement their Method Acting classes.

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM (FALL, WINTER, SPRING)

Tuition: $1200

This after-school program meets once a week for two hours and seeks to train Young Actors in Lee Strasberg’s Method Acting. This technique, also known as The Method, develops the actor’s ability to respond with real behavior to imaginary stimuli. Each two-hour class will consist of two parts: work on the self and work on the character.

SUMMER PROGRAMS

SESSION A: ADVANCED TEEN THEATER INTENSIVE
Monday – Friday | July 10 – 21, 2023
Tuition: $2100

Open to students entering grades 7-12 (grouped by 7-8, 9-10, 11-12).

Designed for the student with theater experience, this session will take a deep dive into what it means to be a working actor. With a strong Method Acting foundation and electives including Shakespeare & the Classics, Script Analysis, Method Improvisation, and Audition – as well as visits from industry professionals – this session is perfect for Young Actors looking to take their theater experience to the next level.

Spots are extremely limited. This is an audition-based program.

To audition, please send in a recording of two contrasting one-minute monologues. If you prefer, you may submit one monologue and one song (excerpt should be approximately 1 minute). Send in materials no later than April 1, 2023 to [email protected], subject line “Advanced Teen Theater Intensive Audition.”

Selected participants will hear back by April 7, 2023.

SESSION B: ACTING ON-CAMERA
Monday – Friday | July 24 – August 4, 2023
Tuition: $2100

Obsessed with television, movies, short films, animation, and more? Take your talent to the screen with Acting On-Camera. With LSTFI’s strong Method Acting foundation and electives like Self-Tape, Commercial Audition, Acting On-Camera and more, this session is perfect for students who are looking to appear on the big screen.

No audition or previous experience required. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, spots are limited.

SESSION C: MUSICAL THEATRE & MORE
Monday – Friday | August 7 – 18, 2023
Tuition: $2100

Come on along and listen to the lullaby of Broadway! Get your voice warmed up and your toes tapping in our two-week Musical Theatre intensive. With a strong basis of Method Acting classes in addition to Musical Theatre, Acting the Song, Audition, Movement and more, this session is perfect for Young Actors who know every single word to Hamilton – and for those who are just starting to dip their toe in!
