ACTING PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS GRADES 2-4

Young Actors at Strasberg offers year-long programming for students in grades 2-4. Keep reading below to learn more about our Saturday classes and summer day camps! SATURDAY PROGRAM (FALL, WINTER, SPRING)

FALL 2022: Saturday, September 17 – Saturday, December 10 | NO CLASS November 26

Our Littles Program helps introduce young students to Method Acting and to the expectations and possibilities of the acting industry. With Method Acting, Movement, and Improvisation classes, your student will receive a fun and holistic education through twelve weeks of exciting classes. A Family Day is scheduled toward the end of the term for family and friends to drop in on classes and see their Young Actor in action.

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM (FALL, WINTER, SPRING)

This after-school program meets once a week for two hours and seeks to train Young Actors in Lee Strasberg’s Method Acting. This technique, also known as The Method, develops the actor’s ability to respond with real behavior to imaginary stimuli. Each two-hour class will consist of two parts: work on the self and work on the character.


SUMMER PROGRAMS (JULY)

Our Littles Day Camp is designed for students looking for a fun and focused week of developing basic acting skills and nurturing their imaginations. The program runs during the summer and, in just one week, students are introduced to Method Acting, Musical Theatre, Stage Combat, and Acting for the Camera. This program explores the creative process and helps develop teamwork, leadership, creative expression, and independence in a concentrated week of study.

July 11 – July 15 | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Electives include Musical Theatre, Improv, Stage Combat, Building a Character.

SESSION B: THE SCREEN ACTOR
July 25 – July 29 | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Tuition: $1150
Electives include Acting on Camera, Storytelling, Commercial Audition, Fighting for Film.
