THE LEE & ANNA STRASBERG SCHOLARSHIP
FOR NEW APPLICANTS
Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and embarking on our next 50 years, The Lee Strasberg Creative Center has established The Lee and Anna Strasberg Scholarship.
This annual scholarship honors the founding of The Institute by Lee and Anna Strasberg in 1969 and supports their vision of offering training in the innovative work of Lee Strasberg Method Acting™ to present and future generations of aspiring actors. This scholarship is open to both domestic and international students.

THE JAMES BALDWIN SCHOLARSHIP
FOR NEW APPLICANTS & CURRENT STUDENTS
A significant initiative designed to support emerging Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) actors—The James Baldwin Scholarship is named in honor of the acclaimed pioneering writer, civil rights activist, and gay cultural icon, who worked with Lee Strasberg to stage his original play Blues for Mister Charlie during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s. This scholarship seeks to expand access to the Institute’s training programs for BIPOC actors who demonstrate exceptional passion, talent, and dedication to the craft of acting. The James Baldwin Scholarship is a tuition award to be used toward three (3) 12-Week Part-Time (10 hours) terms of study. This scholarship is designed to support BIPOC artists who are creating work—allowing The Institute to work with the recipient to ensure their enrollment and schedule aligns with their individual goals, unique artistic endeavors, and circumstances.
