Young Actors Program

Acting is a unique endeavor that relies on professionals of all ages, making young actors an integral part of the film, television, commercial and theatre industries. Acting classes are vital for supporting aspiring young actors in honing their natural talents while preparing them to successfully enter the professional realm. After all, great actors are not born but made. Youth acting classes for kids and teens can help inspired students achieve their highest potential.

At The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, we offer a comprehensive selection of acting classes which train young actors to use The Method. Our classes are designed to give children and teens the tools they need to succeed in the world of acting, while maintaining a sense of playfulness. Through Young Actors at Strasberg (YAS), students learn the art of storytelling, train to access their authentic emotions and responses, and foster a sense of creativity and collaboration.

Learn more about our Young Actors at Strasberg programs, available for kids and teens in New York and Los Angeles, using the links below.

Currently, all Young Actors programs are offered exclusively through our NYC Campus.
Students outside of NYC (ages 13 – 18) may enroll in our YAS Online Part-Time Study.

Acting is a unique endeavor that relies on the availability of professionals of all ages and types; not just adults. Young Actors at Strasberg is a program for kids and teens interested in developing a strong foundation in Lee Strasberg’s Method Acting. Our mission is to teach students how to achieve uniquely honest and truthful performances in all acting mediums, while also promoting self-confidence, self-discipline, individuality, and creativity in a nurturing environment. All classes in our Young Actors curriculum explore the creative process and help young people develop skills in teamwork and leadership, while fine-tuning the craft that develops exceptional actors.
