JOB CLASSIFICATIONS

Each program of study prepares students for a career in the entertainment industry in either stage or TV/film. For LSTFI job statistics, jobs may include: actor/actress in a stage production, film production, TV production, Industrial production (PSAs, etc.), or Commercial production; Voice-Over acting; stage or film combat; character work; drama coach (Two-Year Conservatory graduates), Method Acting teacher (Two-Year Conservatory graduates), and drama critic.

The programs generally result in freelance work or self-employment. This type of work my not be consistent. The period of employment can range from one day to weeks to several months.

SOC Codes: 27-2011 (Actor) and/or 27-2099 (Entertainer and Performer) and/or 25-1121 (Art, Drama, and Music Teachers, Postsecondary)

The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in West Hollywood is a private institution and is approved for operation by the Bureau of Private Post-Secondary Education (BPPE). Approval to operate means the institution is compliant with the minimum standards contained in the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 (as amended) and Division 7.5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations.
