SYNOPSIS: In the conservative town of Anywhere, USA, mysterious illnesses have plagued a group of young adults. Paranoia and accusations of witchcraft spread through the community, leading to accusations, trials, and wrongful executions. The Crucible explores the dangers of mass hysteria and the manipulation of fear for personal gain that continues to weave its way into the politics of day-to-day life.
