Noah Haidle is an American playwright and screenwriter, and a graduate of Princeton University and the Juilliard School. His other plays include Mr. Marmalade, Smokefall, Saturn Returns, and What is the Cause of Thunder? His original screenplay Stand Up Guys was produced by Lionsgate and starred Al Pacino, Alan Arkin, and Christipher Walken. Birthday Candles was first commissioned by and produced at the Detroit Public Theatre. It opened on Broadway in 2022 and starred Debra Messing.
