Jack Thorne is a British playwright and screenwriter, whose other plays include Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Junkyard, and adaptations of A Christmas Carol, After Life, and Woyzeck. He is a BAFTA and Emmy award-winning screenwriter, whose work includes Adolescence, Enola Holmes 1 and 2, and His Dark Materials. He was the recipient of the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Award for Outstanding Contribution to Writing in 2022, and was elected the Guild’s President in 2025.
