Rachel Bailit, an alumna and faculty member at The Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute, has taught a variety of classes, including Method Acting, Improvisation, Scene Study, The Group Theater History, Script Analysis, and Lee Strasberg Legacy. She also enjoys teaching Method 101 online. In 2017, David Lee Strasberg and Rachel taught a seminar in Boston. Since then Rachel continued teaching Method Acting there through Boston Casting. In 2023, Rachel traveled with David Lee Strasberg to teach a seminar in Mallorca, Spain.
Rachel’s other experiences include working as The Museum Educational Consultant For Affective and Physical Engagement with Art at the Getty Museum. She created a tour which she conducted, “Sense Memory In Art”. She taught “Acting for Animators” at Dreamworks, Animation, Warner Animation Group, and The Animation Guild. Rachel coaches public speakers, lawyers, candidates & elected officials.
Rachel introduced Method Acting as a guest speaker and teacher at the Shanghai Theater Academy International Forum on Acting Training and Education in 2018 and returned to teach a two-week Strasberg Master Class in 2025. Rachel also created classes for Military and Veterans at SAG-AFTRA where she currently serves on the Military Committee and at Veterans in Media & Entertainment. She currently serves on The Women’s Committee and The Sexual Harassment Committee at SAG-AFTRA.
Rachel performed her acclaimed one woman show “Sugar Happens”, directed by David Lee Strasberg for five years in Los Angeles, including the Comedy Central Stage, and at St. Luke’s Theater in New York City. Her current acting credits include the lead role of “Simone” in the award winning film “Everyone Asked About You””, and roles in “Diary of a Spy”, and “Eight Days to Cabo”. Former credits include the role of “Nikki “in Paramount’s “Festival in Cannes”, directed by Henry Jaglom “Nurse Who” in the “Grinch stole Christmas “directed by Ron Howard.
