Lizzy Mansilla was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She earned her BFA in Acting from University of Arts, with the most prestigious Argentinian acting directors, Raúl Serrano and Agustin Alezzo. She specialized in The Stanivslaski system, Shakespere, Chekhov, Tennesse Williams, Arthur Miller and Commedia dell’arte. She fell in love with Lee Strasberg’s Method and trained at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in Los Angeles between 2010-2012.
During her time at Strasberg, she worked on Educating Rita by Willy Russell in ‘Acting for TV/Film’ and ‘Method Acting’ classes coached by Sasha Krane, David Strasberg, Hedy Sontag and MJ Karmi. She returned to Buenos Aires, where she performed the play at Auditorio Losada in 2013 along with the magnificent actor Javier Lombardo for 5 years. She has continued her Method training throughout.
She has worked in TV and Film, including a recurring role in the Netflix series Almost Happy, seasons 1 and 2 (2020-2022). She has also participated in several renowned local TV fictions (Bs. As.), and played a supporting role for the Disney series Jake & Blake. She also coaches actors privately for admission to prestigious acting schools worldwide and has been partnered with the prestigious Mexican acting school, Construyendo Actores, since 2020 including organizing a Lee Strasberg Workshop.
