Alan Ball’s plays include FIVE WOMEN WEARING THE SAME DRESS (world premiere at MCC) and ALL THAT I WILL EVER BE (originally produced at the New York Theatre Workshop). His first film was “American Beauty,” which was directed by Sam Mendes and won an Oscar for his screenplay. Ball’s Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-winning “Six Feet Under” ran for five hit seasons on HBO, garnering record-breaking ratings and critical acclaim throughout its run. His show “True Blood” is entering its sixth season on HBO and he is prepping “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” for Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Films.
