No Rights Reserved

December 2, 2025 @ 7:00 pm 8:30 pm

Lee Strasberg Institute students and alumni create a 5-8 minute piece inspired by or adapted from the public domain works. The Institute provides a curated list of titles/works that have recently entered the public domain as inspiration and students develop them into a staged presentation. The event is open to students, faculty, alumni, and invited guests and takes place in The Institute’s black box theatre–Hedy Sontag Stage.

No Rights Reserved provides an opportunity to explore and reimagine public domain works. The 2025 iteration includes original work inspired by: Virgina Woolf’s A Room of One’s Own, Ernest Hemingway’s A Farewell to Arms, Edith Wharton’s Hudson River Bracketed, Mahatma Ghandhi’s The Story of My Experiments with Trust, The Music of Duke Ellington, Books by Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, aka “Colette”.

Featuring: Ava Crozier, Charne de Jager, Chris Gunning, Emilia Mallucci, Janya Govani, Jeffrey Spiers, & Kevin Caufield
