NEW YORK ACTING INTENSIVES

The New York Short Intensives are designed to introduce actors to Lee Strasberg’s Method through an immersive, two-week program. These courses are ideal for university students, working actors, and individuals looking for a concentrated training experience, including out-of-town visitors and those exploring whether Method Acting is the right fit for their artistic goals. Intensives are open to students 18+. For kids and teen programs, visit strasberg.edu/YAS.

Intensives are not eligible for student visas; international participants must be able to attend on a tourist visa (including ESTA visa waiver) or another visa type that permits this activity. The curriculum is pre-set and always includes Method Acting classes, alongside a focused selection of complementary classes such as Acting for Film & TV, Movement, and Character Work. All classes are taught by our seasoned LSTFI faculty.

INTENSIVE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for the 2-Week and 4-Week Intensives must submit:

• Completed application form below
• $75 application fee (See Payment Options)
• Resume/CV
• Short statement on why you would like to attend
• Headshot (photo of your face for identification purposes)
• Proof of Identity (US Driver’s License, Non-Driver’s ID, or Passport)

A brief interview will be scheduled following application. If admitted, a non-refundable $250 registration fee is due to secure your spot in the program, which will be deducted from your tuition.

Prospective students are encouraged to apply as early as possible as space is limited and programs fill up quickly. Admission is rolling and applicants will be notified if a program is almost full or a waitlist has opened. Students must attend an intensive for its full duration; taking one week only is not permitted.

Class offerings, schedule, and program dates are subject to change at the discretion of the Administration.
