ACTING SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS

NEW YORK CAMPUS SCHOLARSHIPS

The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute New York campus is proud to offer scholarships for both current and non-matriculated students.

In celebration of the Institute’s 50th Anniversary, The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute is thrilled to announce two new awards – The Chandra Wilson and The Cicely Tyson Scholarships. Each scholarship for 1 year of full-time study at the LSTFI in New York will be awarded to a talented BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Color) actor who demonstrates great potential and passion for a career in the performing arts.

Applications for The Chandra Wilson Scholarship will open October 1, 2020. Applications for The Cicely Tyson Scholarship will open November 1, 2020. All other scholarship applications will be accepted starting April 1, 2021. Learn more about all of our 2021 scholarships below!

Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and embarking on our next 50 years, The Lee Strasberg Creative Center has established The Lee & Anna Strasberg Scholarship.

This annual scholarship honors the founding of The Institute by Lee and Anna Strasberg in 1969 and supports their vision of offering training in the innovative work of Lee Strasberg Method Acting™ to present and future generations of aspiring actors.
