Taught by seasoned LSTFI instructor Debra Wiley, this three-hour online masterclass introduces Lee Strasbergโs Method Acting. Students will explore the history and development of The Method, learn Lee Strasbergโs relaxation technique, and participate in 2โ3 sense memory exercises. The class culminates in short scenes provided by the instructor, giving students the opportunity to apply the exercises theyโve learned and experience The Method in practice.
This class is ideal for students who are new to The Method and interested in discovering whether further study, online or in person, is right for them.
Admission is rolling and enrollment is extremely limited to ensure ample opportunity for live questions, individual attention, and personalized feedback.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR:
DEBRA WILEY
Debra Wiley is an internationally acclaimed acting teacher, performance coach, and a singing voice specialist (M.A. Acting and Vocal Performance, NYU). She studied early with Lee Strasberg, and then for many years with Irma Sandrey, Ed Kovens, and Elaine Aiken. Debra joined the LSTFI faculty in 1994, and has also taught performers at Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music, Montclair State University, New York University, Marymount Manhattan College, Harlem School of the Arts, and more.
She has directed plays and numerous classical recitals, and taught masterclasses and seminars at organizations including the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Disney Theatrical Productions, SAG Conservatory, Danish State Theater School, Danish Actors Union, Chamber Music America, Operafest, Songfest, AFTRA@Work, Mannes College of Music, and NYU Steinhardt.
