MONOLOGUE AUDITION PREP FOR TEENS

Held in person at the LSTFI New York Campus, this class prepares Young Actors for the unique challenge of auditioning with monologues, the format most commonly used for college admissions, performing arts high schools, and summer intensives.

Monologue Audition Prep is an exciting opportunity for actors to have agency in choosing their own material. In this class, students will learn to identify what they want to share about themselves as artists through that choice, then navigate the process of finding and selecting material that best highlights their strengths, personality, and point of view.

Through personalized exercises and coaching, students will deepen their understanding of character, text analysis, and themselves. The class will also introduce and provide specific guidance on the college audition process while giving all students the practical audition tools to build habits that encourage freshness, flexibility, and confidence across all auditions and acting work.
