1-YEAR CONSERVATORY – NEW YORK CITY
ONE YEAR CONSERVATORY PROGRAM
(FULL- OR PART-TIME STUDY)
The One Year Conservatory Program emphasizes the fundamental aspects of The Method while ensuring concentrated but broad-based instruction in voice, movement, and theatre history.
Upon successful completion, students receive a formal Letter of Completion. Coursework from the One Year Conservatory may be applied toward the Two Year Conservatory (Certificate Program). To continue, students must receive positive evaluations from their instructors, maintain strong attendance, and remain in good standing with the Institute.
There are four program start dates each year: Fall (September), Winter (January), Spring (April), and Summer (July).
CURRICULAR REQUIREMENTS
Full-Time Study: The program consists of three 12-week terms with 22 hours of study per week, totaling approximately 8–9 calendar months. (The Summer term runs 10 weeks at 26 hours per week.)
Part-Time Conservatory Option: Students may complete the same curriculum over up to six terms, with 10–16 hours of study per week. Part-time students attend the same classes as full-time students. Flexible scheduling is available, with morning, afternoon, and evening class options.
After registering for their program of study, students will be notified with the Program Orientation date. Attendance at Orientation is mandatory.
In order to successfully complete the program, students must complete all course requirements and be in excellent standing with the Institute.
