Fornés Fest

The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute is proud to present an evening of scenes by María Irene Fornés, representing a selection of work from her multi-decade career.

The scenes are directed by and feature students, alumni, and faculty. Following the performances, the audience is invited to join a panel discussion and Q&A. Moderated by Fornés expert and playwright Caridad Svich, the panel will feature the scene directors along with Gwendolyn Alker (Fornés Scholar & Dramaturg), Lorca Peress (Faculty & MultiStages Artistic Director), Estrela Maria Straus (alumnus), playwrights Nelson Diaz-Marcano and Desi Moreno-Penson.
