Summer Acting Programs – NYC Campus

Young Actors Summer Programs

We offer a week-long Kids Camp (Grades 2-5), Two-Week Teen Workshops (Grades 6-8) and a Six-Week Young Adult Intensive (Grades 9-12). Click here for more information on our Young Actors Summer Programs.

Institute Adult Programs

Summer at Strasberg provides students with different options to study Lee Strasberg’s acting technique. Students can either enroll in an ambitious ten-week term (part-time or full-time) or take a concentrated four-week intensive (click here for a sample schedule). Both programs are designed for actors of all levels. International students are welcome to study full-time in the ten-week program or sign up for the mid or late-summer intensive.

Students who are seeking college credit and who are enrolled through the Adult Summer Program at New York University (NYU) may register in our ten-week summer program. NYU students must apply and register for classes through NYU.

Once students register for their Program,  the administration will send a notification for the Program Orientation Date. Attending Orientation is mandatory.

Part-Time (10 weeks/10 hours with a free 2-hour elective included) $2,550

Full-Time (10 weeks/18-20 hours with either a 2 or 4-hour free elective included) $4,950

Full-Time (10 weeks/24-26 hours with either a 2 or 4-hour free elective included) $6,650

Dear Students and Prospective Students,

As news of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to develop, we wanted to take time to reassure our community that The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute is monitoring circumstances on a regular basis. We are committed to the well-being and education of our students, faculty and staff. Following in step as other universities and schools, we have transitioned to holding classes remotely in ways that are meaningful.

The Spring 2020 term will begin on April 20th.

These are unique times worthy of serious thought and implementing measures of caution. We trust that our Community will, as always, join together, to find new ways to collaborate, innovate, and continue doing the work we care so deeply about.

Please be sure to follow us on social media for events and updates during this time where we're all Safer at Home.
