What ‘The Method’ Means to Me Vlog

In a recent vlog that can be found on The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute West Hollywood Youtube channel, we asked alumni and faculty what Lee Strasberg’s Method means to them.

Through the years what ‘The Method’ is has been highly debated. To quote Ellen Burstyn, featured in the video, “there are a lot of clichés around about what Method Acting is. Like if you tear your tee-shirt you are a Method Actor, but that’s really not it.” For some, The Method is more than an acting technique, it is a lifestyle and a way to see the world around you. According to LSTFI NYC alumna Yamini Joshi, “there are no two same ‘Methods’,” ‘The Method’ means something different to everyone who studies at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute.

Watch “What ‘The Method’ Means to Me” to learn more about how Method Acting training has affected LSTFI alumni and faculty.
