NYC THEATRE & FILM ACTING PROGRAMS
The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute® is the only school in the world that offers the authentic training in The Lee Strasberg Method™. Created by Lee Strasberg, our programs offer the professional and artistic tools for every actor to reach their maximum potential.
The goal of all the programs offered by the Institute is to provide students with a craft that will help them create a reality and respond truthfully in imaginary circumstances, regardless of the style or form of material being used. Actors learn to express powerful emotions and are encouraged to leave behind conventional, superficial, and clichéd expressions in search of their own unique artistic voices. The Method trains actors to use their physical, mental, and emotional humanity in the creation of the script’s characters and stresses the way in which personal experience can fire the actor’s imagination.
WE OFFER THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS AT OUR NEW YORK CAMPUS:
INTENSIVE PROGRAM
Two to four-week seasonal course work offering fundamentals in The Lee Strasberg Method™ and a host of electives with some of NYC’s top performers and educators.
ONE YEAR CONSERVATORY PROGRAM
A one-year immersive program for students seeking creative and professional development to navigate the arts and entertainment industry. [22 hours per week] 4 start dates per year.
NYU BFA PARTNERSHIP
Lee Strasberg is one of the Studios of the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University for the Bachelors of Fine Arts program. Please contact NYU Tisch directly for all questions about admission to this program.
12 WEEK PROGRAM
An immersive quarterly program designed for both students beginning acting training and professionals who wish to brush up their acting technique. Part-time and Full-time study available. 4 start dates per year.
TWO YEAR CONSERVATORY PROGRAM
The two-year certificate program is designed for students seeking a concentrated course of study to inform their craft and empower them to navigate the industry. [22 hours per week] 4 start dates per year.
YOUNG ACTORS AT STRASBERG
Intensive actor training and development. Students explore the creative process and skills of acting technique Grades 2-12.
