1 Year Conservatory – NYC Campus

1-YEAR CONSERVATORY – NEW YORK CITY

ONE YEAR CONSERVATORY PROGRAM

The One Year Conservatory follows the same course of study as the first nine months of the Two Year Conservatory. With 22 hours of classes per week, this program emphasizes the fundamental aspects of The Method while ensuring concentrated but broad-based instruction in voice, movement, and theatre history. Upon successful completion of this program, students can apply their coursework toward the Two Year Conservatory (Certificate Program). Completion of the One Year Conservatory provides a Letter of Completion. In order to continue on to the Two Year Conservatory, students must receive positive evaluations by their instructors, maintain good attendance and be in good standing with The Institute. There are four start dates per year: Fall (September), Winter (January), Spring (April) and Summer(July).

CURRICULAR REQUIREMENTS

There are three 12-week terms consisting of 22 hours per week of study, for a total of 8-9 calendar months (Summer term is 10 weeks and 26 hours per week).  Once students register for their Program,  the administration will send a notification for the Program Orientation Date. Attending Orientation is mandatory.
