Part Time Programs – NYC Campus

Part-time programs at Strasberg offer students flexible schedule options to study Lee Strasberg’s technique in a rigorous and supportive setting. Students can study part-time each semester. The part-time program provides flexibility in regards to how many hours a student wishes to take each term. Students can alternate part-time to full-time from term to term. For example, a student can register for 8 hours in the fall, 12 hours in the Winter and 14 hours in the spring.

New students may enroll part-time for a minimum of 8 hours (two Method Acting classes with two different teachers) and may add on additional two or four-hour classes.

Alumni are also eligible to study part-time and may register for a minimum of 2-hour classes a la carte.

SAG-AFTRA card holders, who have never studied at The Institute, can take a minimum of one 4-hour Method Acting class a week and are permitted to add on additional classes as desired. SAG-AFTRA members are eligible for a discount.

Once students register for their Program,  the administration will send a notification for the Program Orientation Date. Attending Orientation is mandatory.

12-Week Part-Time (8 hours/week) $2,550

All students, part-time and full-time, are permitted to add on additional classes to their schedules each term. Students must consult the registrar for further information.

Two-Hour Elective: $825

Four-Hour Method Acting or Elective: $1,325

Dear Students and Prospective Students,

As news of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to develop, we wanted to take time to reassure our community that The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute is monitoring circumstances on a regular basis. We are committed to the well-being and education of our students, faculty and staff. Following in step as other universities and schools, we have transitioned to holding classes remotely in ways that are meaningful.

The Spring 2020 term will begin on April 20th.

These are unique times worthy of serious thought and implementing measures of caution. We trust that our Community will, as always, join together, to find new ways to collaborate, innovate, and continue doing the work we care so deeply about.

Please be sure to follow us on social media for events and updates during this time where we're all Safer at Home.
