CLASS REGISTRATION
Login to your Campus Cafe account to register for classes each term, keep track of your attendance, pay tuition, view program requirements, download transcripts and more.
Class registration opens approximately 5 weeks before the start of each term and will remain open through the first week of the term.
Tuition Payment must be made completed prior to first class.

Covid-19 Announcement
The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in Los Angeles strongly recommends students and employees stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations. Getting vaccinated against COVID-19 and the flue is the health practice proven most effective in preventing severe illness and death. Registration Basics
Remember that in the first year of full-time study, you may only take 1 of the following: Acting for TV/Film I or Improv I or Scene Study.

Class transfers are available in Campus Cafe through the Friday of the 2nd week of classes. No class transfers are permitted after week 2.
Waitlists If a class is full, you can request to be added to the waiting list.
You should enroll in another class in the meantime, as you are not guaranteed a spot from the waitlist.
The system organizes the waitlist order based on time (order that the request was submitted). If someone drops the class, and a spot opens up, then the next person on the waiting list will be added. You’ll be notified via email if a spot becomes available and you’re moved from the waitlist.
Payment Information
12-Week & Conservatory students: Pay $500 deposit (inclusive of non-refundable Registration fee) in Campus Cafe in Application Status section(Information/Payment) to confirm enrollment and update Status from Accepted to Deposited.
Choose a Payment Plan. See the Payment Plan Due Dates Chart for more details. Specific payment plan details will be sent by the Bursar ([email protected]) after class registration
AOS Degree students: Pay $2500 deposit (inclusive of non-refundable Registration fee) in Campus Cafe in Application Status section(Information/Payment) to confirm enrollment and update Status from Accepted to Deposited no later than August 1.
Choose a Payment Plan. Payment plan details (including amounts due and due dates) will be sent by the Bursar approximately 1 week after class registration.
2-Week Intensive students: Pay $800 deposit (inclusive of non-refundable Registration fee in Campus Cafe in Application Status section) to confirm enrollment and update Status from Accepted to Deposited to secure registration spot. Balance Due prior the program start.
Scholarships: Students are eligible to apply for the Legacy (Conservatory) and LA Artist Grant (AOS) after completing a minimum of 12 weeks of study. Award is for 3rd term of study and later. Details here
Rehearsal Space & Self Tape Studio
Rehearsal space may only be reserved the day of and for a maximum of 1 hour. Please view the room schedule at the front-desk to reserve your rehearsal space. Remember that the Soundstage and Marilyn Monroe Theatre are not available for rehearsal unless approved by Admin.
The Self Tape Studio can be reserved for a maximum of 1 hour intervals. The sign-up schedule is available at the front-desk for each week
Class Audits
Current Students (and Alumni) are permitted to Audit (observe) ONE class ONE time each 12-week term and subject to availability. All audit requests must be submitted via this form at least 24 hours in advance.
Audits confirmations will be sent by [email protected] and you must pick up and audit pass from the Front-Desk and present it to the teacher in order to audit.
Library
In order to check-out a book or play from the Institute’s library, you must join the library. In Librarika you can also check to see if we have the play and if it’s available to check-out or not. You must check-out the play(s) at the Front-Desk. Plays are checked-out for 3 weeks, but can be extended through the Front-Desk. Plays that are returned late, damaged, or not returned will result in a fee to the student.

Printing and Copies
You may email sides/scenes for class to be printed to the Front-Desk. Please note that we cannot copy copyrighted materials.
Transcripts
Unofficial transcripts can be accessed from your Campus Cafe student portal (as of April 2023).
For Official Transcripts, please order from National Student Clearinghouse (fee paid through site) here.
Completing your Program
After completing your program of study, please complete this Exit Plan. (Required to obtain Certificate.)
If you would like to continue your training in a new program, please complete the Re-Enrollment form and register for classes in Campus Cafe.
If you are withdrawing prior to program completion, please complete the Withdrawal Form & Refund/Credit request forms and return to [email protected]
