Winter 2021 Announcement
Even though we are facing many challenges right now, Strasberg is committed to preserving the work and changing with the times. We will work to ensure that the material taught in our classes, the plays performed on our stages and the directors and guest artists who grace us with their presence represent the voices, stories and rich cultural diversity of our community. We will ensure that every student feels safe, cared for and heard.
Some of you may be considering postponing your training until life goes back to “normal”. Our world is shifting radically and theatre and the arts are transforming as well. This change will be ongoing. This is the moment for you, as an artist, to embrace change and continue to move forward.
The Institute is currently only authorized to operate online/distance learning classes due to State and local government regulations, and therefore Winter is currently scheduled to be Online. Once these restrictions are lifted and the Institute is permitted to offer in-person classes we will be offering limited classes in-person in an outdoor setting. All classes will continue to remain available through the online format for those who are unable to participate in-person.
We are hopeful for Spring 2021 and beyond, we will be able to resume some more normal in-person (and in the building) classes. Our first priority is the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff. Until we are able to fully resume normal operations, we will continue to plan following State and Local guidelines and offer our classes in the most meaningful way possible.
We are confident that, as you continue on your exciting journey of exploration and growth as artists, we will work together to overcome any challenges, inspiring change and moving forward with great hopes for the future.
The Winter 2021 Los Angeles campus schedule will be released Wednesday, November 18th and class registration will open November 22nd. All details will be posted on the Class Registration page.
See below some testimonials from our current students who have continued taking classes online.

The Institute is currently offering all classes online via Zoom due to State and Local restrictions from Covid-19. We are also actively planning for a return to in-person classes (initially in an outdoor setting) once the State and Local officials deem it is safe to re-open. Please note that the online acting subscription platform will be included in tuition at no additional cost for all students who are enrolled in 8 or more hours. For increased flexibility in these uncertain times, Part-Time students do have the option to enroll in only 1 Method class while we are online. Please email us with any questions or concerns.
Remember that in the first year of full-time study, you may only take 1 of the following: Acting for TV/Film I or Improv I or Scene Study.
