Isabella Uzcátegui

Director, screenwriter, and producer, Isabella has worked on various national and international projects. She was born in Caracas, Venezuela and raised in Guatemala, Brazil, Mexico, Panama, and the United States. She was honored the Artist and Scholar Award at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts, for her leadership in the arts and original works in theater and film.

In New York, Isabella collaborated with directors Karen Maine on her feature film Rosaline (Hulu) and Bryce Dallas Howard on development of various projects at her production company: Nine Muses Entertainment. In Panama, Isabella has worked as a programmer for the HAYAH Short Film Festival and is the head of development of Panamanian production company Hello October.

She is currently based in LA where she is getting her MFA in Directing at UCLA. She is currently in post-production for her short film Flashlight and developing her first feature, Las Uvas, which will be a co-production Panama and USA.
