SHAKESPEARE DOWNTOWN: Richard III

Richard III

Written by William Shakespeare

Directed by Geoffrey Horne

June 14-25, 2017 at the Historic Castle Clinton National Monument

Founded by LSTFI Method Acting teacher Geoffrey Horne, Shakespeare Downtown is dedicated to providing an authentic and accessible Shakespearean experience. By staging these free outdoor performances at Castle Clinton, audience members experience the plays as they were originally done at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre 400 years ago – in the open-air, in the round, and on the water.

The cast of Shakespeare Downtown is comprised entirely of Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute students, faculty, alumni, and Young Actors.
