METHOD ACTING WORKSHOP | COPENHAGEN, DENMARK

LEARN LEE STRASBERG’S METHOD ACTING IN COPENHAGEN

In collaboration with Panorama Agency and Academy, The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute is thrilled to offer a week-long Method Acting workshop in Copenhagen, produced by Rebecca Berg. Coming to Denmark this May, this workshop is open to both participating actors and observers.

Participating actors will be led through daily Method Acting and scene study classes taught by David Lee Strasberg, gaining first hand exposure to Lee Strasberg’s world renowned acting technique and learning to utilize the Method in character creation and scene work. The workshop culminates in a 2-day master class with selected scenes from the week. This program is limited to 16 participating actors.

Observation-only tickets are available for the full week-long workshop, single-day observation, and the open master class with David Lee Strasberg.

ACTOR APPLICATION PROCESS

APPLICATION DEADLINE: April 17, 2024

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Participating actors must be at least 18 years of age;
  • Each applying actor must submit a completed application via the link below;
  • All actors must submit an acting reel or taped monologue of their choice;
  • Monologues may be from any play, movie or tv show and must not exceed 3 minutes.

Please note, this workshop is taught entirely in English.

Due to the highly competitive nature of selection, Selected Participant notifications are delayed. Selected Participants will be notified April 26, 2024. Participants will have 5 days pay or their spot will be offered to someone else.

MEET THE TEAM

DAVID LEE STRASBERG

David Lee Strasberg spent his childhood at the Actors Studio in New York where his father, Lee, was Artistic Director from 1949-1982, and at The Lee Strasberg Institutes in New York and West Hollywood, which his father and mother co-founded. He sat in on many of his father’s classes in close proximity to many of the most famous actors of our time.

In 1999, he became the Creative Director and CEO of the Strasberg Institutes. Since then, he has produced dozens of plays and short films featuring professionals and students alike. David teaches classes and seminars at both the West Hollywood and New York schools, while mentoring students on their craft and their careers. He also holds acting seminars to promote his father’s work in the United States and around the world. With an M.A. in Business Administration from Anderson School of Management at UCLA and a B.A. in International Relations and in American History from Brown University, David manages and supervises staff, develops curriculum and oversees the operations of the West Coast campus.

REBECCA BERG (PRODUCER)

Rebecca began her career in Copenhagen, Denmark. As a child, she booked her first professional acting job on the Emmy-winning drama series The Eagle. Since then, she has acted in theatre, commercials, film, and television. She moved to LA upon acceptance into the acting conservatory at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. After graduating, she continued to study in masterclasses at The Institute and was accepted into a filmmaking masterclass with James Franco at Studio4. She’s worked in front of and behind the camera on numerous productions, including shows for HBO, Netflix, Disney, and Hulu. She’s also produced and acted in various independent projects, earning her multiple nominations and awards. With her producing partners, Rebecca launched her own production company, Swanlings Entertainment, where she produces and writes.
