1 YEAR CONSERVATORY PROGRAM
LOS ANGELES ONE YEAR PROFESSIONAL ACTING CONSERVATORY (CERTIFICATE PROGRAM)
The One-Year Conservatory follows the same course of study as the first year (3 terms) of the Two-Year Conservatory (Certificate Program). This program emphasizes the fundamental aspects of The Method while ensuring a concentrated but broad-based instruction for the body and voice, as well as theatre history.
The program requires 36 weeks (three 12-Week terms) of dedicated training and full-time study. Students may start the Conservatory in any of the 4 terms (Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall). Upon successful completion of the One-Year Conservatory Program (66 clock credit hours), students will receive a formal Certificate of Completion.
The Full-Time program requires 22 hours of classes per week. The Part-Time Pathway option, allows Conservatory completion for those who cannot take on a full-time course load. The Part-Time Pathway option allows students to divide the One-Year Conservatory into six 12-Week terms (three 12-Week sessions of 10 hours + three 12-Week sessions of 12 hours).
TUITION INFORMATION
Tuition for the One-Year Conservatory may be paid in one, three or six installments. Payment plans incur a non-refundable finance charge. All fees (finance, registration, materials, STRF, etc.) are applied to payment #1.

CURRICULAR REQUIREMENTS
The One-Year Conservatory (Certificate Program) in Los Angeles consists of three 12-Week sessions of full-time study (22 classroom hours a week)* and includes the following course requirements. Courses vary by session.
Acting Technique (Major Area): 36 Clock Credits
History & Criticism: 6 Clock Credits
Voice and Movement: 12 Clock Credits
Free Electives: 12 Clock Credits
Total: 66 Clock Credits
Students who wish to continue their studies to complete the Two-Year Conservatory must be in excellent standing with The Institute and have completed all One-Year Professional Acting Conservatory requirements. Credit awarded in the Conservatory program does not count toward the AOS degree program.
