The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute Day

On October 18, 2019, the student body, staff, faculty, and alumni of The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute gathered for a group photo commemorating The Institute’s 50th Anniversary. The photo marks not the end of an era, but the beginning of a new one – the start of another 50 years of world class actor training. With 361 faces in the crowd, including one Strasbaby and one canine actor, the photo was a wild success. The event was televised and a commissioner from the Mayor’s office was in attendance to deliver a Proclamation. The Proclamation – presented to Artistic Director and Co-Founder Anna Strasberg and President Victoria Krane – declared, by order of Mayor Bill de Blasio, October 18, 2019 to be The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute Day in the city of New York.

The following day, LSTFI held a reunion and group photo for the students, faculty, and alumni of the Young Actors at Strasberg program. There was even a surprise visit by Young Actors alumna and star of Andy Muschietti’s It, Sophia Lillis! These group photos represent just one of many celebrations planning for The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute’s 50th year.
