She went on to star in noteworthy films, such as Norma RaePlaces in the HeartSteel Magnolias, Forrest Gump, Mrs. Doubtfire, and the upcoming Hello My Name is Doris. She has won two Academy Awards and three Emmy Awards, and she is a celebrated humanitarian.
